Recently, two members of the active chapter represented Alpha Zeta during this year’s IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon benefitting the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. Seniors Alli Hartman and Michael Rush spent 46 hours on their feet along with 706 other Penn State students in support of families affected by pediatric cancer. They danced the weekend away, playing with AZ’s THON family, enjoying visits from brothers, sisters and friends on the dance floor, and making every second of the weekend count!
For Mike and Alli, the chance to dance in THON has been long awaited. The pair was supposed to represent Alpha Zeta in THON 2015, but after being affected by a potential chicken pox outbreak, they, along with AZ’s THON child Chase, were unable to attend THON weekend. The opportunity to finally dance for Alpha Zeta and spend THON 2016 with the entire Kemberling family was well worth the wait for Mike and Alli.
Mike says that his favorite part of the weekend is being able to interact with Four Diamonds families and children, especially the Kemberling boys Travis and Chase. Alli’s favorite part was finally being able to be back inside the BJC, experiencing the indescribable feeling that is attending THON in person! Mike and Alli, along with the entire active chapter, would like to thank all Morrill alumni who donated to the house’s THON efforts this year–your generosity is greatly appreciated and helps ensure the actives’ continued involvement with THON.
