Alpha Zeta was recognized for its time and contribution to the community over the Christmas season. State College residents walked around Burrowes Street to view the Interfraternity/Panhellenic Council’s Annual Holiday Lights Tour. The fraternity was even featured in The Collegian for their outstanding decorations.
The house attracted several tourists with their unique exterior decorations. They set up a live Nativity scene complete with toga costumes and posed under a hut, recreating the night in Bethlehem. The designer of the nativity was senior, Dan Hartzell. He thought it would be cool to recreate the scene he saw at his grandfather’s farm. He wanted to affirm the true meaning of Christmas celebration. Alpha Zeta Chancellor, Shawn Beam said that decorating the house brought the members together by sharing ideas and in working together to make the house beautiful. He hopes for the Holiday Lights tour to become a benchmark that people can look forward to every year at Penn State and at AZ!
