An Update from Richard Criley ‘62
“I put out the 55th edition of the Morrill Chapter Class of 1962 newsletter this fall, which you can view HERE. In September, the World Acrobatics Society inducted me into their Gallery of Legends for my contributions over 25 years to the sport of Sports Acrobatics. In a way, that also recognized my contributions to gymnastics which I began as a Penn State gymnast.
Your Support Enriches The Lives Of Our Young Undergraduates
When you support Alpha Zeta, you’re not just supporting your fraternity. You’re making a critical investment in the values of alumni networking, honor, tradition and goodwill, as well as the lives of young individuals who need your support now more than ever.
Why Greek Life Is More Important Now, Than Ever
What follows is a testimonial from a Chi Phi Brother at Penn State. Greek life today as we know, or knew it, is in a state of flux. However, we’d like you to read this article, and think back on your days as a member of Alpha Zeta- the sense of belonging, the way it helped Penn State seem much smaller with a close-knit group of friends. Now more than ever, Greek Life has the opportunity to step up, change, and lead the way as a positive agent in the Penn State Experience. Read more for the story.
A Life Shaped Through Morrill Chapter
For A. David Horme ’61, his Penn State experience was shaped through the Alpha Zeta lens. “Just a great group of people,” he said. Brother Horme joined because he longed to meet others who shared his passion for agriculture, and he found a good fit in the Alpha Zeta house, though it took some convincing to get him to pledge. “I had some friends who were going to their rush events,” he said, “so I just decided to go along one day.” And he’s grateful he did.
Happy Holidays!
As you prepare for the busy season ahead, Alpha Zeta wishes you and your family a joyous holiday!
During this time of thankfulness and giving, we reflect on the many ways Alpha Zeta has changed our lives – instilling us with the values that made us into the individuals we are today, teaching us the power of giving back and making a difference, and blessing us with friendships that last a lifetime.
