Alpha Zetans Sara Kitchen and Michael Rush were the recipients of several awards at the recent Pennsylvania Junior Holstein Convention held in State College, Pa.
Both Kitchen and Rush were named Senior Division Distinguished Junior Members. Kitchen was also a member of the winning Senior Division Dairy Bowl Team from Northumberland/Montour Counties. Their team was coached by Kitchen’s mother, Dr. Pat Kitchen, and Alpha Zeta alum, Randy Wolfe.
Kitchen also took third in the Senior Division Prepared Speech Contest. Rush won the Senior Division Extemporaneous Speech Contest and took second in the Senior Division Dairy Jeopardy Contest.
