It’s hard to believe that we are already half-way though the semester! It has been so nice to have such an eventful semester compared to what our past year has looked like. We played IM softball in September and although we only won one game, we should have gotten an award for the most enthusiastic team. We are looking forward to playing floor hockey, which will start soon! Be sure to follow the Instagram (@alphazeta.psu) to keep up with all of our IM sports endeavors!
We currently have six new members undergoing the new member education process. Our new members are Mason Swank, Tommy Puia, Kevin Osifat, Ethan Jamison, Clara McCahren, and Julia Doklan. They have been diligently learning their house history and keeping the house looking its best. They will all make great additions to Alpha Zeta, and we can’t wait to officially call them our brothers and sisters!
THON fundraising is in full swing! We had a pumpkin painting fundraiser this past week which was a big success. All of the members had a grand time decorating their pumpkins, although I don’t think anyone should be switching to an art major just yet. THONvalopes are coming soon so be sure to look for those in the mail in the next month or so!
Homecoming is this weekend, and we are partnered with Alpha Delta Pi and Tau Epsilon Phi. Our theme is the Penn State Arboretum and we have been working hard all week to prepare for the parade! The float is coming together with lots of help from our partners, and an absurd amount of pomping, and it features the fountain, the arch, and almost as many flowers in the arboretum.
