I pledged Alpha Zeta in spring 2012. I will be working for the National FFA (Future Farmers of America) Organization in Washington D.C. I will be a facilitator at the Washington Leadership Conference, FFA’s premier leadership conference.

I am currently a junior majoring in Agribusiness Management with a minor in International Agriculture. This summer, I’ll be venturing out to the state of Wisconsin. While there I will be interning for Bader Rutter on the Pfizer Dairy Marketing Team. This being the summer before my senior year, I hope to not only grow as an individual but also develop a better sense of where I want to go with my career. I’m very excited for this opportunity and can’t wait to see what this summer has in store for me!

I pledged Alpha Zeta in the spring of 2011. This summer I am interning at Davey Tree Experts at their King of Prussia office. Some of the tasks I will be doing are climbing trees, pruning, air spading and other tree health care applications. Also I will be working with an Alpha Zeta alumnus, Andrew Roth, who told me about the opening and helped me to get this internship.

I’m a junior majoring in Animal Sciences with a minor in Poultry and Avian Science. This summer I am going to be an intern for Tyson Foods in New Holland, Pennsylvania. This 12-week internship will be a condensed program of their management trainee program which they put all new hires through. I will spend time in live production, broiler service, cut up, HACCP, quality assurance and further processing. Essentially I will be learning the whole process of poultry production from broiler chick to finished product on the dinner plate. I am excited to be able to apply the skills I learned in the classroom to a large scale production facility.

Congrats to all of our actives for securing these internships–and good luck!
