Q. Did you live in the house?
A. Yes. I remember one incidient where we received a call late at night from Dairy Barns saying the barns were on fire. We were getting ready for the Dairy Show at the time. Many of us got out of bed, got dressed and raced to the barns only to learn it was someone’s idea of a joke. We had also called the fire company to report the fire. I forget who had taken the call, but he ended up at the police station for several hours. All ended well except some of us didn’t get much sleep that night.

A. Currently, I am the sales manager and treasurer of F.M. Brown’s Sons, Inc., an Agricultural Manufacturing and Marketing firm in the Reading, Pa., area. Prior to 1980, I was an assistant professor of Dairy Science at Va. Tech.

Q. What hobbies do you enjoy?
A. Photography, fishing, and taking care of the small farm I live on.
Q. What are your goals for the next few years?
A. Getting my son through college and keeping the feed business strong in a declining marketplace, as southeastern Pennsylvania becomes more and more of a suburban area; help others get started in the dairy business.
