Dr. George Shook ’63, To Be Honored

The Pioneer designation is a career award given to individuals who have made noteworthy contributions in the US dairy industry. Five individuals are recognized each year. On October 6, 2016, one of our own will be recognized as a Pioneer by the National Dairy Shrine.

The Board of Directors feels that now is the time to emphasize and increase the size of the AZ Charitable Trust.  As the cost of a college education continues to increase it becomes more important to support our actives through our scholarship program.

That’s the date that Penn State has set for Blue-White weekend, a date that has emerged as a harbinger of spring, an unofficial spring reunion, and the celebration of a new year of football. Alpha Zeta Alum Receives Cargill Young Scientist Award

An alum of Morrill Chapter and resident of nearby Boalsburg, Pa, Kevin Harvatine, Ph.D. ‘01 recently received the Cargill Animal Nutrition Young Scientist Award at the ASAS/ASDA joint annual meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Harvatine received the 2016 Cargill Animal Nutrition Young Scientist Award at the ASAS/ADSA joint annual meeting this week in Salt Lake City, Utah. The award is designed to recognize outstanding research by young dairy production scientists during the first ten (10) years of their professional career for their exceptional research in dairy cattle production area.
