Training Camp Primer Part 2: Breaking down Penn States receivers, defensive backs and running backs
Penn State’s football season will be here before you know it and now’s the time to get up to speed on the personnel the Nittany Lions will have at their disposal to start the season. Alpha Zetans are already some of the smartest Penn State alums and actives when it comes to agriculture so why not be the most informed Penn State football fans when the season starts, too?
There’s still time to make your gift to AZ!
When we set out to raise money for our annual fund before this giving year began, we set a goal of $24,000. With two months left in the current giving year, we’re getting closer but we’re not on pace to get to our goal. Currently, we’ve raised $17,529 from 114 generous donors and while we’re on pace to beat last year’s total of $19,015 by $51, we have work to do to get to our goal.

Training Camp Preview: Linebacker Who? Find out who’ll be pounding opponents on Saturdays
The college football season is just around the corner, meaning it’s nearly time for Alpha Zetas to pull out their blue and white jerseys and other Penn State football gear in preparation for Penn State’s second season under head coach James Franklin. It also means it’s time to start taking a look at where the Nittany Lions stand with training camp looming.
Thanks to ag science, we’re running the healthiest deep fryers in town
Some of the healthiest deep fried food in Pennsylvania can be found in State College – specifically inside the Alpha Zeta house kitchen on North Burrowes where for the last five months brothers and sisters have used the new high oleic soybean oil in their fryers.

Annual Family Day draws 120 family, friends
by Michelle Hartzell, Active Chapter Chronicler
The actives hosted their annual Family Day on April 26, which about 120 family and friends attended. We welcomed the new Spring 2015 pledge class and their families to the house and were happy to have our University Adviser, Rebecca Connelly, in attendance. Brother Luke Salter headed up the pig roast, and Caterer Mike Rush helped prepare the meal. Chancellor Tyler Schaeffer gave a brief presentation on the chapter activities over the past year. I did most of the planning as chronicler and put together a photo book documenting the chapter’s 2014-2015 year.
